Who should go on our trips?

We are looking for adult participants who have enthusiasm for Latin Dance and a sense of adventure! No prior dance experience required – just a willingness to learn. We will accommodate all dance levels.


Is there an age restriction?

Yes, these are tours designed for adults. For our Miami trip, all participants must be 21 years or older as we will be visiting some of Miami’s hottest dance clubs and bars. For Puerto Rico and our foreign trips, all participants must be 18 years or older.


How do I sign up for a tour?

You can book online or call us at (240) 630-0257.  A deposit is required to reserve your spot on one of our adventures.


Is there a minimum amount of participants for a tour to be confirmed?

Yes, we must have 10 participants for a trip to move forward. Once your trip has met the required number of participants, we will inform you that your trip has been confirmed. Please do not purchase airline tickets until your trip has been confirmed. We confirm all trips by two months before departure date so you can book your flight.


When are payments due?

A deposit of $1,000 is due upon reserving your spot. We will refund this deposit if the trip is cancelled by us. It is non-refundable if you cancel for any reason. (This is due to some upfront costs we incur when booking your tour.)


What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept payment by credit card or check. Checks may be made out to Latin Dance Adventures.


Do I need a visa or a passport?

For all foreign trips, every U.S. citizen is required to have a passport for international travel.

None of our current destinations require a VISA for U.S. travelers prior to departure. You may be required to purchase a tourist card or VISA upon arrival in the country. 


What is your cancellation policy?

Once you book your adventure, $1,000 Deposit is non-refundable if trip is cancelled by you. However, we will refund 100% of the deposit if the trip is cancelled by us.

 

We will refund 100% the remaining trip cost balance if you cancel 61 days or more before your departure date.

 

We will refund 50% of the remaining trip cost balance if you cancel 31-60 days before your departure date.

 

We will not refund the remaining trip cost balance if you cancel 0-30 days before your departure date.

 

Refunds will be sent by check within 30 days of our receiving written notification of your cancellation (email notification is fine).

 


What if my tour doesn't have enough participants?

We require a minimum of 10 participants for each trip. Once the minimum number is confirmed, we will send you an email so that you can book your flights. If the trip is cancelled, you may choose to receive a full refund or select a different departure date.


What is your maximum group size?

Our maximum group size is 25. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Once a trip is full, we will close registration.


Is airfare included in the price of my trip?

No. As we have participants flying from various locations in the U.S. and world, it is impossible to calculate airfare into the packaged pricing. Therefore, airfare is not included in the price of your trip.


Do you recommend travel insurance?

We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance before any foreign trip. This can protect you from last-minute cancellation, trip interruption, and medical treatment or emergency medical evacuation during your trip. We recommend https://www.insuremytrip.com/.


Do I need any immunizations before my trip?

Check with your doctor about any recommended immunizations prior to your trip. You can also look at the Center for Disease Control (CDC) website for individual country information.  


Where do we stay?

Groups will stay at 4 Star hotels in each destination. In Punta Cana, we will stay in a 4 Star, all-inclusive resort.


Are meals included?

Many, but not all meals are included in your trip. Where available, breakfast will be provided as part of your hotel stays. Some lunches will also be provided, but not all. A group dinner each night is included. When we send you your trip itinerary, all meals included in your trip will be indicated.


Besides hotels and some meals, what is included in the tour price?

Trip costs include a dedicated tour director, dance classes, local tours and activities as listed in your trip itinerary, on-the-ground transportation, and some club covers.


What is not included in the tour price?

Airfare, visa, travel insurance, some lunches and all breakfasts (unless provided by hotel), any additional excursions desired, alcoholic drinks (unless provided by one of our vendors), souvenirs, AND gratuity for tour director, dance instructors, and local guides.


What about gratuity?

Of course gratuity is always optional. However, we ask that you tip your tour director, dance instructors, and local guides on the trip for jobs well done.

For your tour director, we generally recommend tipping between $50-$60 per trip participant per the week.

For dance instructors, we recommend $20-$30 per trip participant per week.

And for local guides on excursions, we recommend $5 per trip participant per excursion.


Are tours physically strenuous?

All trips will require participants to be able to walk…and of course, dance! We will be participating walking tours and participate in activities like snorkeling, horseback riding, zip lining, etc. Activities can be modified as needed, however, to accommodate participants with physical limitations. Who are our Tour Directors and Guides?

The tour director will be our representative on the ground handling logistics and acting as your group leader. They will be with you for all group activities and a resource for your questions and needs throughout the trip.

The guides for our various excursions will be provided by activity operators. We have selected the best rated vendors for our excursions to ensure quality guides throughout the trip.


Who are the dance instructors?

Our instructors are local dance teachers who look forward to sharing their expertise with you. They will join us for morning sessions at our hotel.

In addition to the instructors we hire for our morning sessions, for extra practice, we may also participate in dance sessions run by the dance clubs we visit in the evenings.


Can I travel alone?

We welcome solo travelers, and these trips are great for making new friends! If you would like a room on your own, we require you pay the additional room costs for not having a roommate. See single occupancy room option.

We can match you with someone of the same gender. If you opt for having a roommate, but we are unable to match you, then we will split the hotel cost difference with you.


Do you offer private tours for small groups?

Private departures are decided on a case-by-case basis. We are happy to discuss private tour options and quote you a price based on number of people, location, requested time period, and activities.
